Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh | August 2026: Srirama Engineering College has become the first college in Tirupati to initiate a quantum computing initiative, marking a significant milestone in the region’s journey towards emerging quantum technologies. The institution has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with BLOQ Quantum Pvt Ltd, a pioneering quantum technology company from Kerala, to advance quantum computing education, research, and innovation.
The collaboration positions Srirama Engineering College among the institutions pioneering quantum technology initiatives in Andhra Pradesh, with a focus on developing capabilities in quantum computing and exploring its applications across emerging research domains.
As part of the collaboration, Srirama Engineering College has gained access to the BLOQ Quantum Computing Platform, enabling students and faculty to explore quantum computing through hands-on experimentation and practical learning. The platform will also support the institution’s research activities in Quantum Machine Learning (QML) and other emerging areas of quantum technology.
The MoU will also create opportunities for joint research, technical training, research publications, patent development, and industry-academia collaboration. These initiatives are expected to encourage students and researchers to work on innovative problems and develop solutions at the intersection of quantum computing, machine learning, and other emerging technologies.

Munishankar and Dr. R. Nagendra, along with faculty members of Srirama Engineering College and representatives of BLOQ Quantum Pvt Ltd.
